Travelling Fashion – What to pack?

On a long journey even a straw weighs heavy.

-Spanish Proverb

Jungle? Beach? City? No matter where you’re going, you need to consider these 3 basic things.

Feet – You must look after your feet. They will carry you through scorching dessert, densely packed cities, across mountains and through rivers. They are your most precious asset! Look after them. Good shoes, NOT new shoes.

Health – If you are unwell it will ruin you’re entire trip and be the only thing you remember. From sickness and diarrhoea to hangovers! One thing I never skimp on is my medical bag supplys. Long coach journeys, 4 hour treks, you are going to want to be the best you can be. You know what works for you so relying on your destination having a remedy is risky. Do what makes you comfortable.

Packing organisers – Honestly trust me these will be invaluable. Knowing exactly where clean underwear is. Keeping all muddy trousers together. They also help compress that one extra top you really couldn’t do with out 😉

Electronic organisers are a no brainer. Noone wants to be untangling cables or loosing chargers when you can be enjoying the view.

Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of imprisonment.
